Board Member Profiles

VP of Professional Development: Jody Suess, CPIM, CIRM, CSCP

Jody SuessJody has been an APICS member since 2000. She earned her CPIM in 2002, her CIRM in 2003, and her CSCP in 2007. She has served on the Fox Valley Chapter Board of Directors since 2003, and has held the positions of Secretary, Treasurer, Executive Vice President, and President. Jody is currently employed by SCA Tissue as a Re-Supply Planner. Prior to SCA, she worked at Oshkosh B’Gosh, Inc. and held positions of Product Control & Scheduler, Inventory Control Specialist, Production Supervisor, and Quality Auditor. Jody was also an adjunct instructor at FVTC for 5 years teaching CPIM and CIRM certification review courses.

President: Phil Kosik, CPIM, CSCP

Phil KosikOccupation: Materials Manager for Eden Stone Company and Valders Stone and Marble Company in Eden, WI. Phil has also worked as a Materials Manager for Buechel Stone Corp. Chilton, Wisconsin from March 2005 to February 2009. Phil also worked as a Production Planner for Plexus Corp Neenah, WI from October 1993 to March 2003.

Education: Bachelors Degree UW Oshkosh 1997 Majored in Economics

Phil has been a member of APICS since August of 2005. He achieved my CPIM certification in September 2006 and CSCP in March of 2007. Phil has served on the APICS Fox Valley Chapter Board of Directors since 2007. He has held the positions of VP of Membership and President Elect. Phil is now serving his second term as Chapter President. Phil is also an adjunct instructor for Fox Valley Technical College, teaching APICS certification classes. Phil also has presented at the APICS 50th Anniversary Conference that was held in October 2007.

VP of Company Coordinators: Dave Mueller, CPIM, CIRM

Dave Mueller I became a member of APICS in 1993, along with several other people from Converting Incorporated, when we started implementing a MRP system. I became CPIM certified on March 16, 1999 and earned the CIRM certification on December 15, 2007, with help from Jody Seuss who was my instructor. I volunteered for the company coordinator when the Fox Valley chapter asked and have continued to be our company coordinator. I live outside of Clintonville, which is home of Creative Converting. I started with Converting Inc. on September 13, 1972. The company merged with Hoffmaster in 2008 and the name was changed to Creative Converting. My wife and I will celebrate our 25th anniversary in August. Our granddaughter moved in with us 5 years ago and there is nothing like having a 16 year old around to keep you on your toes. In early April, I celebrated the 29th anniversary of my 29th birthday. We try to spend as much time as possible at our cottage on Summit Lake. My passions are bird hunting, musky fishing, good beer, family and friends. The good beer,family and friends really go together around a camp fire.

VP of Finance: Sherri Manion

Sherri Manion Sherri Manion has been an APICS Fox Valley Chapter Member since 1988. This is her second consecutive year on the Board as VP Finance. She was Head of the APICS Nomination Committee in 2007 and 2008 and was recognized as the 2007 Member of the Year for the Fox Valley Chapter. She served as the Treasurer for the Oshkosh Youth Symphony Orchestra - July 2007 to July 2009. She is employed full-time as a Production Control Analyst for Axletech International in Oshkosh. She received her BBA in Operations Management in 1985 and earned her CPIM in 1992. She plans on regaining her CPIM status through the APICS Recertification Exam that is being offered in 2010.

VP of MIS: Rod Glauser

Rod Glauser Rod Glauser is Director of Business Systems for Packaging Dynamics in Kaukauna, WI. Rod has 28 years of experience in the Paper Industry with business and operations management roles in Pulp, Power, Paper, Converting, Safety, Environmental, Supply Chain and IT. Rod has been an APICS member and site coordinator for Packaging Dynamics since 2005 and is currently working towards CPIM certification. Rod has a BS in Paper Science and Engineering from Miami University. As VP of MIS for our APICS Chapter, I look forward to expanding my knowledge of Supply Chain Management best practices from my APICS colleagues as well as offering support to the chapter with perspective from the Paper & Packaging Industries.


Director at Large: Allan Siman, CPIM

Allan SiimanAllan has been an APICS member since 2005. He earned his CPIM in 2007. Allan served on the APICS Board of Directors from July 2006 through June 2009 as the VP of Finance. He also was the VP of MIS from July 2009 through June 2010. He has been employed at Crown Cork & Seal since February 2005. He is currently the Manager, Customer Service and has previously held the position of Customer Service Representative. Allan has a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the University of Florida as well as a French minor.


VP Secretary: Beth Westfahl, CPIM

Beth WestfahlBeth Westfahl, CPIM is a Supply Chain Management Instructor at Fox Valley Technical College. In addition to her instructional experience, Beth has over 16 years of experience in supply chain management, including forecasting, buying, planning, scheduling, and inventory management in diverse environments such as the paper industry, foundry and catalog/direct marketing. Beth has been involved with APICS since 2000, and this is her sixth year serving on the APICS Fox Valley Chapter Board of Directors. In the past, Beth served as the VP of Membership.



VP Logistics: Sue Schleis

Sue SchleisSue originally became an APICS member in 1990. After taking a few years off, she rejoined again in 2006. She has served on the Fox Valley Chpater Board of Directors since 2007 and has held positions of VP of Company Coordinators and VP of Logistics. Sue has been employed at Oshkosh B’Gosh since 1986. She is currently employed as a Product Control and Scheduler but has also held positions in Product Management and Domestic Planning. Sue studied Business Administration at Marion College in Fond du Lac.

Director at Large: Joanne Gorski, CPIM, CSCP

Joanne GorskiJoanne Gorski, CPIM, CSCP is currently a Supply Chain Management Instructor at Fox Valley Technical College. In addition to four years of instructional experience, Joanne has 15 years of industry experience resulting from her work at Kimberly-Clark Corporation and Appleton, Incorporated. Her industry experience includes extensive work in the field of logistics, operations management, and information system implementation and management.
She has served on the Fox Valley APICS Chapter’s board of directors as Chapter President, Vice President of Professional Development, Secretary, and currently holds the position of Director at Large. Joanne was a speaker at the 2001 APICS International Conference and has been published in the Institute of Management & Administration’s Inventory Management Report. Joanne recently was appointed a member of the APICS CSCP Curricula and Certification Committee. Joanne has a BS in Business Administration from The Ohio State University and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. Joanne has also received the APICS Lean Enterprise Workshop Series certificate.
Joanne resides in Hortonville, Wisconsin, with her husband and three children. Joanne enjoys running marathons, biking, gardening, and spending time with her family.

VP Membership: Loriann Andersen

Loriann Andersen This is Loriann's 2nd term on the APICS BOD. She is currently employed as a Category Manager with ICG Commerce, procurement partner of Kimberly-Clark. Prior to that, Loriann worked as an International Sourcing Manager for School Specialty. She earned her MBA from UW Oshkosh in 2007 and is currently pursuing her CSCP certification.




VP-Faculty,Student Advisor: Dr. Andrew Manikas, CPIM, CIRM

Andrew ManikasDr. Manikas is an Assistant Professor of Supply Chain & Operations Management at UW Oshkosh. He has worked on consulting projects dealing with project management, inventory control, process reengineering, and ERP implementation. He earned his CPIM and CIRM certifications through APICS, PMP from the Project Management Institute and CCP from the Institute for Certification of Computing Professionals. He holds a Ph.D. in Operations Management from The Georgia Institute of Technology. Dr. Manikas earned a B.S. in computer science and MBA in materials and logistics management from Michigan State University.
